Descrição

Marabu Primer P4 is a liquid adhesion promoter, developed for
pre-treatment of a variety of materials, with the aim of improving the adhesion properties between the material and the ink layer to be applied. It is ideal for preparing difficult surfaces, such as glass, metals, ceramics and plastics, for printing with digital or screen-printing UV inks.

Field of Application

Primer P4 improves the adhesion of UV curable paints on:

  • Glass
  • Metals
  • Ceramics
  • Plastics

This primer is essential to ensure adhesion on surfaces that normally
present challenges for printing, providing durability and superior quality to the printing process.

Processing Instructions

  • Recommended Processing Temperature:
    Between +15°C to +25°C.
  • Drying:
Drying time for thin layers is approximately 30 seconds at room temperature. Recommended waiting time before printing or further processing is approximately 5 minutes .

After application, substrates should be protected from direct sunlight. Processing should take place within 5 hours after application of the primer to ensure maximum adhesion. If the substrates are stored in a dry place protected from light, they can be processed later.

Application Methods

  • Manual Application (Cloth):
Primer P4 can be applied by hand with a lint-free cloth,
clean paper towel or clean cotton. Apply the primer evenly and
thinly, in circular movements, without pressing excessively.
  • Spray Application:
For a finer application, it is recommended to use spray guns.
compressed air atomization spraying. 0.5 mm to 0.6 mm nozzles
and atomization pressure between 4 and 6 bar are ideal. Parameters must be adjusted according to the equipment used to avoid the formation of streaks or stains.
